Who We Are
About
The Sent Life exists to help churches move from ministry ideas to real missional impact. Founded by mission strategist and former executive pastor Clayton Rhodes, The Sent Life is a nonprofit ministry focused on equipping churches to discover their God-given calling, develop the structures and partnerships they need, disciple their people for gospel readiness, and deploy them into meaningful mission—both locally and globally.
After nearly two decades in executive leadership in the marketplace, Clayton transitioned into full-time ministry with a vision to see the Church activated, not just gathered. He has since launched three nonprofit organizations, each born from a desire to serve the overlooked and mobilize the Church for redemptive impact.
The Sent Life combines biblical clarity, practical tools, and hands-on coaching to guide churches—especially smaller and mid-sized congregations—into bold, Spirit-led obedience. Through interactive workshops and a proven process, we help your church move from good intentions to real-world mission.
Because every church—no matter its size—has a part to play in God’s redemptive story.

Where We Work
Victoria & the Crossroads of Texas
The Sent Life is based in Victoria, Texas—a historic city founded in 1824 and located along the Guadalupe River. Positioned at the center of the “Crossroads of Texas,” Victoria sits within a unique region bordered by Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and Corpus Christi. This central location makes it a vital hub for regional culture, commerce, and faith communities.
The Crossroads region is home to hundreds of small and mid-sized churches. These congregations are often rich in faith and deeply rooted in their communities, yet many struggle to move from ministry ideas to real mission. That’s where The Sent Life comes in.
We serve churches across the Crossroads by helping them discover their calling, develop strategic partnerships, disciple their people for gospel impact, and deploy them into local and global mission. No matter the size, we believe every church can become a sending church—and we’re here to help make that happen.
Our Founder
Clayton Rhodes is a mission strategist, former executive pastor, and veteran marketplace leader with a deep passion for helping churches move from ministry ideas to missional action. After nearly two decades as a senior executive in the elevator industry—leading teams, streamlining operations, and managing multimillion-dollar budgets—Clayton transitioned into full-time ministry, bringing strategic clarity and strong leadership to the local church.
He served as an Executive Pastor, guiding ministry strategy, missions, and church operations. His experience in both ministry and the marketplace, spanning nearly 30 years, shaped a unique blend of pastoral heart and practical know-how—something he brings to every church he serves.
Clayton is the founder of three nonprofit organizations. Hope Beyond Bridges serves individuals experiencing homelessness, where he continues to serve on the board. T3 Mentors Inc. focused on long-term, relational discipleship with at-risk teens. His third and current initiative, The Sent Life, is the culmination of his calling—to help churches discover where God is leading them, develop the structures and partnerships to support that mission, disciple their people for gospel impact, and deploy them into local and global outreach.
Through interactive workshops, coaching, and hands-on tools, Clayton equips churches to move from good intentions to bold obedience. He believes that a church’s impact isn’t defined by its size but by its willingness to be sent. That conviction fuels his commitment to walk alongside smaller and mid-sized congregations—often overlooked, yet full of potential—to activate every member for mission and play their part in God’s redemptive story.
